a) This image conveys three of the components from my Major Design Project for HSC Design and Technology. In this, I created a masterplan redevelopment of the Kooloonbung Creek and Hastings River Foreshore area, including the derelict 'Food For Less' site within Port Macquarie's CBD, in order to address key needs of the local community, including the need for economic growth and social connectivity. The top left image shows a still from a CAD model of the site. The bottom left is a photomontage created from the CAD file to be included in marketing and sales promotion. Finally, the image on the right is an architectural model created from plywood, foam core and clear acrylic. The trees were also handmade using wire and coconut fibre.

b) This image is of the famous Louvre Museum in Paris, France. I took this photograph while on holiday here in 2014. What struck me most about this piece of architecture is the juxtaposition between the old and new. I love heritage architecture and think that the beautiful, angular glass triangles set against the background of the solid stone of the original building is stunning. I also appreciate how the triangular motif is carried throughout the museum in buildings and design features both old and new, including in the water features seen in the foreground of the photograph above.

c) I took this photograph while on holiday in New Zealand over the Christmas break. We were staying in the beautiful city of Dunedin on the South Island and were off exploring the CBD. In the heart of Dunedin are these two magnificent historic buildings, one a Cathedral and the other the Town Hall. I love this photograph as it contrasts the soft, feminine beauty of the flowers in the foreg, with the hard, masculinity of the stone building behind.
